BandLab Nominated for Technical Achievement at 29th Annual Webby Awards

SINGAPORE, APRIL 1, 2025: BandLab, the world’s leading mobile-first social music creation platform, has been named a Nominee in Technical Achievement and an Honoree in Experimental & Innovation at the 29th Annual Webby Awards, both under the Apps & Software category.

Presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), the Webbys are widely recognized as the Internet’s highest honor.

Selected from over 13,000 entries worldwide, BandLab was recognized for reimagining what mobile music creation can be. The app brings the entire music-making process into one place so anyone can write, record, produce, collaborate, and release music, all from their phone. Whether it’s a first draft, a viral trend, or a major label charting hit, BandLab is built for how people create today.

This Technical Achievement nomination reflects how BandLab brings together powerful features into a seamless experience that feels fast, flexible, and creator-first. It’s not just about what the app can do, it’s about what creators can do with it.

“This is an incredible honor and a reflection of the care and ambition our team brings to building for creators,” said Meng Ru Kuok, CEO & Co-Founder of BandLab. “We’re not just keeping up with how music is made today, we’re helping define it. This nomination speaks to the deep technical work behind BandLab, and the belief that the tools to make music should be in the hands of everyone, everywhere, regardless of background or socioeconomic status.”

Webby Award winners are determined by both the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and the general public. Vote for BandLab in the Webby People’s Voice Awards before the April 17th deadline at vote.webbyawards.com.
