The Fader profiles artists chosen for BandLab Opportunities

Music creation firm BandLab is helping some of its musicians boost their profiles through a traditional technique: media coverage.

Earlier this year, the company teamed up with ReverbNation on a scheme called ‘Opportunities‘ that helps artists find connections with venues, festivals, brands, blogs and other entities. Now media outlet The Fader has signed on to promote some of the artists using that feature.

Once a quarter it will choose a BandLab Opportunities artist to profile on its site, starting with US/Nigerian Afrobeats artist Duncan Daniels. He’ll get homepage placement on The Fader for his profile, with more to follow in a partnership that lasts until the end of 2023.

BandLab knows a thing or two about music media, of course: its parent company bought British magazines NME and Uncut in 2019.
